Joseph Garcia was born in Manati, Puerto Rico & raised in Hartford, CT.  He was a troubled kid in a rough area and never really had much,  His mother like any single mother tried to provide everything she could.  He was always involved in many programs during school growing up but his mother soon noticed where his passion was.  He picked up the trumpet in third grade and he learned at a very rapid rate.  He was fascinated by music and how music can emite different emotions with different sounds.  He ended up playing first trumpet and also studied for a  summer at the Hartford Music Conservatory and also "Guakia" which had a latin jazz group where he learned from trumpet player and composer Ray Gonzalez.

He continued to play trumpet through most of middle school & high school.  During the summer he would travel to Puerto Rico for vacation and there he was introduced to a latin genre of music called reggaeton that is now known wordwide.  He fell in love with the rythyms and the urban style.  It reminded him of the hip-hop era in the 90's but with reggae riddims and also in his native language.  Because he lived in the United States at the time, his spanish was diminishing by going to an all english school he used reggaeton and other latin genres such as salsa, merengue, & bachata to keep up my spanish while also understanding the culture & the music.  The music felt very natural to him & he quickly picked up on timing & rythym.

During his younger years, he was always small so he never really got into sports.  He was always that band kid growing up.  His mother tried to keep him in the house as much as possible because of growing up in a bad area of town.  She bought him a Nintendo with Duck Hunt and ever since then he has been hooked on gaming.  As he grew older it evolved into something more.  He was really good at the games he was playing and decided to start recording his gameplay with a dazzle capture card.  This was before PS4 and XBOX One recording capabilities.  That's where his video editing career began.  He made my first montage when the game Call of Duty World at War first came out and it was a simple video but it reached about 20,000 views so he contunued making more videos.

Once he finished his education, he found myself lost in what to do next.  He was working a 9 to 5 job but he wasn't satisfied with myself.  He knew with his skills and knowledge that he was destined to do greater things.  His music was picking up speed and he slowly started building clientel for recording.  He had been giving the name "El AudioActivo" by one of the artists that he manages.  "Naylow" always said that Joseph became really active or excited when it came to audio so thats where his name originated from.  Then the catchphrase "El Del Toque Digital" also originated around the same time after the first couple recordings with the artists "Naylow Y Jambow".  After them releasing a couple songs to the public just in their local area, the response they recieved was great.  Naylow Y Jambow also known as "Los Atomicos" started getting local gigs to perform and their buzz continued to grow and so did Joseph's.  More artist started hearing about him and starting having more faith to network and work on projects together.

MUSIC & SCHOOL

INTRODUCTION

As he got older, he picked up more hobbies along the way.  He picked up skateboarding which he truly appreciated becuase it taught him dedication.  It wasn't easy for him learning new tricks and having the courage to try them but the reward after mastering a trick made it worth the effort.  While skateboatding, he has met many great friends and he was also able to take his skills from video editing and make skateboarding demo tapes for other people to be shown to local skate shops around town.  His friend Shyam Sukhai ended up landing a sponsorship for Skate Lair Skate shop in Enfield.  The shop later on closed its doors but he now had experience in the skateboarding community and he connected with a few filmers in town.

After many discussions with his family about his dreams and goals, he knew he had to take a drastic risk in order to really take his music & engineering to the next level.  He knew what he was doing but he felt as if he still wasn't getting enough recognition for his work.  He felt like if he had a degree, then maybe people will start taking him more serious.  He listed the pro's and con's and he figured he was only going to have one shot at going after his dreams and he didn't want to regret if the rest of his life so he quit his job and signed up for school full time at Full Sail University.  He is currently studying for a bachelors degree in science for audio production online.  So far all of his grades have been A's and he plans on continuing on building a solid portfolio and hopefully landing a job as an intern at a local recording studio or at ESPN.  After graduating he plans on continuing his education and getting my masters in Film & Movies.
